Trinidad B-24

At approximately 21:07 MWT on March 25, 1943, USAAF B-24D, No. 42-40146, impacted steep, rising terrain 45 miles west of Trinidad, Colorado. On a training mission from Clovis, N.M. to Pueblo, CO.

Once considered one of the most intact WWII sites in the country, this debris field has been vandalized in recent years and evidence of coordinated salvage efforts is apparent. As this site is on Federal land, removal of any artifacts is strictly prohibited.

AvAr File No. 0705-CS
