Synopsis & Background

P-38 Project (0803-CS)

The second fatal military accident in the State of Colorado following Pearl Harbor, this is one of the earliest P-38 crash sites throughout the United States.

While it's been more than 66 years, this is probably the most preeminent crash site in Colorado, thanks to the private ownership of land since 1942. That and the fact that previous owners, along with current residents, wish to dedicate this site to Colorado airmen.
